I am getting married in April 2008 and my wedding colors are Oasis (teal blue) and Truffle (brown). Any suggestions regarding centerpieces for my reception tables? Also I fell in love with Calla Lillies however they are a bit pricy, and I am on a budget. Any suggestions regarding the type of flowers that are reasonable.

Thanks

hello,
I am doing research on the average price a couple is willing to pay a wedding planner. stats i have are 10 yrs. back. i am doing this for a small business course i am taking in my area.  I would like to hear from brides fees they have paid or from wedding planners. Also, we had a discussion about diffient cultures using wedding planners/coordinators. the discussion became heated when it was implied that minorities do not use planners because of the expense. I would like to hear what others on this board think.

I'm caught in a dilema.  My ex and I are really good friends but I don't want my fiance' to be upset because I invited him to the wedding.  Should I tell my fiance' that I sent the invite or just wait until we get a response?  He may not even show up so I'll be off the hook right?

Anyone having a DJ and a Band for their reception?  I'm thinking of having the choir sing at the ceremony, with a soloist, but can't decide on a DJ or Band for the reception.  Bands can be kinda pricy, but I like the style.

Thoughts?

HELP!  Any sisters out there having problems finding their dream dress?  I'm planning a winter '07 wedding and behind the 8-ball trying to find the perfect dress for this time of year.  I want something simple, but not too heavy.

Any ideas?

Who is footing the bill ? Remind your groom that you will have to live after the wedding. Maybe you should sit down with him or have you wedding planner/consultant or some other person you trust to sit down with him and go over your budget again.Sometimes the groom is left out of the loop of the wedding and he is not well informed about the budget and how it is working.I am sure once he understands what the costs are you and he can come to some agreement on the issue.

Thanks flyy girl for the suggestions. I actually did decide to use chocolate with a coral /  deep peach with a champaign or very very light gold to accent. I think that this will look very elegant for an late afternoon wedding. Your colors of navy, cream and gold sound  gorgeous.  Smiley
